

Kristine was born on March 28, 1960, in Tarrytown, New York, to Earl and Jean Ida (Tompkins) Mealing. She was raised in Ossining, New York, where she spent her childhood and graduated from Ossining High School. She continued her education at Berkley Secretarial School and later earned an Associate Degree in General Business from Pace University.
On July 25, 1981, Kristine married the love of her life, Daniel R. Kanze. Together they built a life centered on family, friendship, and devotion to one another. In April 1992, they moved from New York to New Fairfield, Connecticut, where they made their home and created countless cherished memories over the next three decades.
Throughout her professional career, Kristine worked for several respected companies, including Stal-Laval, AMF, and American Brands (now Fortune Brands). She was known for her dedication, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence in everything she did.
Above all else, Kristine was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and celebrating their accomplishments. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, strength, and unwavering support that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Kristine is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 45 years, Daniel R. Kanze of New Fairfield, Connecticut; her sons, Daniel T. Kanze and his wife, Say-Yee, of Chicago, Illinois, and Christopher M. Kanze and his wife, Lynn, of Chicago, Illinois; and her treasured grandchildren, Nova Kanze, Thea Kanze, and Archer Kanze.
She is also survived by her brother, Eugene Mealing of Sandisfield, Massachusetts.
Kristine was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Jean Ida Mealing; her brothers, Earl Mealing and Charlie Mealing; and her sisters, Kathy Vandenburg and Laurie Molsberry.
Kristine will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, steadfast devotion to her family, and the warmth she brought to the lives of those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kristine's memory to a charity of one's choice.
