Lewis attended Ridgefield High School, before a long career as an owner-operator.
Lewis leaves behind his sister Mae Marzano. His 3 daughters: Lynn Kramer of Danbury, Susan Elbaum of Danbury, and Kim Oldham of Massachusetts. His 2 sons: Joseph Kramer and his wife, Lisa, of Asheville, N.C. and Richard Kramer of Fort Myers, Fl. His memory will also be cherished by his 4 grandchildren: Jay Oldham of Bethel, Glenn Elbaum and his future wife, Stephanie Starr, of Torrington, Robert Elbaum of Danbury, and Jane Bailey Kramer of Asheville. His great granddaughter Miranda Elbaum of Torrington; along with several nieces and nephews also survive.
Lewis will be remembered for his devoted commitment to his wife Dolores, his family and extended family.
Lewis was never afraid to live life to the fullest and had a driving desire to travel. Always proud of his work ethic of being fair and honest; always there to help family or friends, giving 100% of himself for truthful, sincere, candid, straightforward, people.
He joins his beloved wife Dolores, his eldest son Robert and his 3 brothers: John Stanley, Peter and many others in “HEAVEN”.
Friends and family will be received at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury on Friday June 26, 2015 from 5pm to 7:30 pm. There will be a short service from 7:30pm – 8pm, with the opportunity for anyone to speak.
A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11:30 am at Branchville Cemetery in Ridgefield.
