Lilia Violeta Ramirez, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday June 23rd, 2018 at Danbury Hospital. She was Born August 20th, 1936 and she lived in Bethel, CT.
She is survived by her children Jose, Victor, Guillermo, Maria (Schaniel) and Antonio Ramirez. Her grand children Natty Ramirez, Rosa(Pavain), Liliana Ramirez, Justin Schaniel, Jessica Schaniel, Billy Ramirez, Cody Ramirez and Selena Ramirez. Her great grandchildren August Brown, Zayden Contreras, Ezra Solis, Bianca Paredez and Dominic Pavain.
Predeceased by her husband Carlos Ramirez, her son Alfredo Ramirez, her mother Gloria Fuentes, and her father Jose Fuentes.
She was born in Veracruz, Mexico and was married to Carlos Ramirez in Mexico until his passing in February 1985. She came to the United States in 1971 to start a new life for herself and her children.
Lilia enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, knitting, sewing, stitching, coloring and being around her family. She had a strong spiritual faith and was a long time member of the Congregation of Yahweh in Bridgeport, CT, until it became too difficult to get around. Her faith was everything to her and she left love and peace with everyone that came to be a part of her life. Everyone knows her as Lily and she always made everyone feel welcomed. She lived with her daughter for the past 22 years and was a big part of her grandchildren's lives until they moved out on there own.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 2nd at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury CT, 06810 from 11:00am to 12:30pm. Followed by the Service at St. Peters Cemetery.
