Linda Pudelko

Born on May 25, 1946, in Danbury, she was the daughter of the late Marguerite (Hodge) Gereg and John Gereg. She graduated from Danbury High School in 1964 and remained closely connected to the community where she was born and where her life came full circle.

Mrs. Pudelko was the beloved wife of Edward Pudelko, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Together they built a family life centered on home, conversation, and time spent together. She is survived by her husband, Edward Pudelko; her daughters, Deana Pudelko-Haitsch and her husband, David Haitsch, and Susan Edmond and her husband, John; and her grandchildren, David Haitsch, Jeremy Edmond, Andrew Haitsch, Jenna Haitsch, and Hannah Haitsch. She was also especially close to her sister-in-law, Florence Pudelko, with whom she spoke every day.

Linda worked briefly at Barden's Corporation before becoming a homemaker to raise her daughters. In that role, she devoted herself to her family and the daily rhythms of home life, creating a foundation of care and connection for those closest to her.

She will be remembered for the sparkle in her eye and for the genuine interest she took in the lives of others. She loved hearing stories from family members whenever they traveled, and she enjoyed sharing memories of the many trips she took with her own family, especially camping excursions. She took particular joy in hearing about her grandchildren and the new adventures they were experiencing, and she was always eager to share those updates with friends and family. She also had many long-distance friends that she connected with through playing games on the computer and long-time friends and cousins who she cherished. The stories exchanged, the trips remembered, and the conversations she kept going from day to day were an important part of her life and of the way she stayed connected with the people she loved.

Linda’s life was rooted in family, in familiar places, and in the simple but lasting bonds created through shared experiences and daily conversation. Her memory will live on in the stories she told, the trips she remembered so fondly, and the many family moments that meant so much to her.

She was predeceased by her parents, Marguerite (Hodge) Gereg and John Gereg. A wake will be held on September 18, 2026, from 05:00 PM to 08:00 PM at Green Funeral Home 57 Main St. A Funeral Service will be held on September 19, 2026, at 12:30 PM at Green Funeral Home 57 Main Street in Danbury. Burial will be at St Peter Cemetery following the service.
