

Lois was born in Menasha, Wisconsin to Martha J. Pawlowski and James L. Baldwin on September 6, 1931. She graduated from Menasha High School and attended college in Danbury. She married Arthur James Gottfried Jr. (Jim) on September 15, 1951, in Menasha. She was a homemaker and prior to her marriage worked in banking. Together Lois and Jim were parishioners of St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury for 48 years. The garden Lois cultivated at the church was to her lifelong devotion to Mary, the Blessed Virgin. A love of gardening, and being together with family, friends, and neighbors brought her immense joy throughout her life. We have all been dearly blessed by her love and will miss her greatly.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband Jim Gottfried, parents Martha and James Baldwin, brother Richard N. Baldwin, sister-in-law Marion Baldwin, grandaughter Lauren N. Gottfried-Greene, son-in-law David Hudson, son-in-law William Greene, brother-in-law, Richard Adams.
Lois is survived by her children, Amy Currin (Patrick Golden), Terri Yardis (Kim Holbrook) Arthur James Gottfried III "Jim", Stuart John Gottfried, Trinka Parker (Jon Isenberg), Julie Hudson (Dave decd.), Andrea Gottfried, Lois Greene (Will decd.) and her dearly beloved sister Kathryn Adams.
Grandchildren: Canaan Currin (Annette), Tanya Cornell, Megan Henry (Jeff), Erin Hallak (Antonio), Jonathan Currin (Christina), Michael Yardis (Annie), Matthew Yardis (Sarah), Randi Gottfried, Oliver Murphy Gottfried, Adam Gottfried, Jessica Gottfried, Kraken Parker-Isenberg, David Hudson, Jillian DiTucci (Brian), Nathaniel Hudson (Elizabeth), Francis Docimo, Jacob Docimo, Matthew Greene, James Spencer Greene. Great Grandchildren: Caylee Currin, Casey Currin, Cadey Currin, James Henry, Jonathan Henry, Jackson Henry, Scarlett Currin, Colin Currin, Zach Daniels, Laeyth Hallak, Hannah Hallak, Michael Yardis, Lily Yardis, Finnegan Yardis, Annabelle Gottfried, Gianna Gottfried, Quinn DiTucci, Bailey DiTucci, Jules DiTucci, Nathaniel Hudson, Harrison Hudson, Frankie Docimo, Gabriel Docimo, Sawyer Docimo, Piper Docimo, Keane Docimo, and great-great-granddaughter Mia Grauel-Currin and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Gregory the Great Church in Danbury. Arrangements are by The Green Funeral Home. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Diane Forman, Lois' "BFF" and special caregiver, and Dr. Alan Dietzek for their loving care throughout the years.
