Louise Letourneau Sylvester

Louise L. Sylvester, 79, passed away at her home in Danbury, CT on March 28, 2017, peacefully with her husband, John, and son, Gordon, by her side. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Rose (Ouellet) Letourneau.

Louise graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA with a BA degree. She worked at WCOP and became an assistant to the General Manager of the station. Upon the promotion and transfer of her husband, John Sylvester, Jr, with National Distillers & Chemical Corp. they moved to Newtown, CT.

In 1985 Louise started a woman’s fashion accessory business called Alliance Enterprises Company in Danbury, CT. She sold her products to many stores all over the United States, until 1995, when she sold her company.

She and John moved to Lattins Cove in Danbury, CT on Candlewood Lake. During this time they traveled to all states east of the Mississippi and Quebec Province.

Louise is survived by husband of 59 years, John, three sons, Jay, Gordon, Todd and their daughter Elyse. She also leaves behind seventeen grandchildren, Sydney, Stephan, Mary, Joseph, John-Paul, Rylan, Elizabeth, Marie, John, Isabella, Phillip, Emma, Molly, Jane, Olivia, Peter, and Andrew and two great grandchildren, Edith and Elijah Gabriel.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 2:00PM to 5:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT 06810.

A Prayer Service lead by Monsignor Thomas W. Powers will take place at 5:00PM on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Funeral Home.

Louise’s family wants to thank the Danbury Regional Hospice and Palliative Care for all the comfort they extended to Louise.
