Luella M. Raymond

Luella was born on November 29, 1933 in Morris, NY, a daughter of the late Earl Bailey and Beatrice Wombold Bailey.

Luella was a self employed child care provider who cared for and raised many children thru the years in which she took such pride in doing so. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 579 in Stamford, CT and a past State Mother of the Year. Luella enjoyed taking trips to see her family who were in upstate NY and was always available and willing to help them in any way she could.

By far, though, her biggest joy was spending time with her grandson, Erik, who was blessed with weekend visits from his “Oma and Opa” alike.

In addition to her parents, Luella was predeceased by her sister, Mabel Hubbard; and her brothers, Charles and Harold Bailey.

Including her husband of 58 years, survivors include her daughter, Brenda Vacca and her husband, Michael of Norwalk, CT; her grandson, Erik Vacca; her sister, Iona Jones of Hobart, NY; a brother Earl Bailey, Jr. of Afton, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial and Interment Services will be conducted at 11am on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Congregational Church of New Fairfield, 20 Gillotti Road, New Fairfield, CT with the Rev. Elizabeth Yoho, Pastor, officiating.
