March 5, 1940 – August 4, 2018
Lynn P. Shea, 78, of New Fairfield, CT passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Regional Hospice in Danbury after a long illness on Saturday, August 4, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Francis R. Shea.
Born in Oceanside, NY to the late Norman W. and Kathryn Z. Doughty, she attended schools in East Rockaway, Long Island and was a 1958 graduate of East Rockaway High School. Lynn then attended Brockport State Teachers College and Hofstra University.
Lynn was a school bus driver in New Fairfield for many years, where she also managed the bus office for a period of time. Lynn loved to attend Broadway shows with her husband and friends after which they would dine out in the city and discuss old times. Most of all, she loved being with her family and at her home.
Besides her husband of 59 years, survivors include her children, who meant the world to her: Michael C. Shea and Kathy L. Shea, both of New Fairfield.
The Family would like to extend their deep appreciation to Regional Hospice and Home Care of Western CT, as well as, Hancock Hall for their love and support during this extremely difficult time.

Dear Frank and family,
So sorry to hear of Lynn's passing. Loved seeing her at the Lion's events back in the old days and we would chit chat about life. She went through a lot with her sickness and now she is at peace. Our sympathy to the family in this difficult time. We will always remember her driving the school bus for my children years ago. May she RIP. Love, Nancy and Al Gouveia
