Manuel A. Amaral

Manuel was born in Vila Mendo De Tavares, Portugal, to Antonio Amaral and Felisbela Oliva on October 18, 1931. He married Maria Conceicao Mendes Amaral in Vila Franca de Serra. They were married for almost 70 years. He worked at Viking Wire and Republic Foil for many years.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Manuel will be sadly missed by his wife Conceicao, his two daughters and son-in-law. Carolina Moraes and Teresa and Tony Lopes; grandchildren Paul Moraes and his wife Renee, Ashley Moraes, Melissa Haynes and her husband Greg, Steven Lopes and his wife Diana; great grandchildren Mya and Amelia Moraes, Grayson and Madelyn Haynes.

Manuel was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and clamming on the beaches of Norwalk. He also enjoyed gardening.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 149 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury.

Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave. Ext., Danbury.
