Cindy and Brian.   We were so sorry to hear of your mom's passing.  We will never forget her and your dad. They were part of our Wood St family.  We miss those days and everyone who was part of them. God Bless 

To the Bishop family. Growing up in the Wood St neighborhood you were not only neighbors but became family. Your Mom and grandmother captured everyone’s heart with her curly black hair and enthusiasm for life. She loved you all dearly and was so very proud of all of you. We will keep your Mom, Dad and all of you in our prayer as you mourn her passing. 

Peggy and I grew up together from the time we were preschoolers until she graduated high school. We enjoyed playing together as little ones, and as we grew older we shared our days growing up at the southern tip of Lake Candlewood taking swimming lessons at Wildman's Landing, fishing at the Sokol's Pond, swimming, playing baseball, flying kites, ice-skating and sledding. My fondest memory is of the day we wanted to go swimming very early in the season. We told my mom, "Betty, Margie said it was okay to go swimming if you say it's okay." Then we ran through the backyards to her house and said to her mom, "Margie, Betty said it's okay to go swimming if you say it's okay!" Then we headed straight for Wildman's Landing and into the water before they could get to talk to each other by telephone.
