Maria J. Amaral, 84, of Danbury, beloved wife of the late Julio Amaral, passed away at Hancock Hall, on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Maria was born in Danbury, daughter of the late Felix and Maria (Mangicasale) Russo. She attended Danbury schools and had worked as a clerk at the Danbury Public Library, in the 1970’s. She was a longtime member of St. Peter Church.
She is survived by her brother, Philip Russo, of Danbury and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, Felix and Larry Russo.
Funeral services will be celebrated at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, on Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
