Maria Dias Carvalho

Maria Dias Carvalho, 104, beloved grandmother of Sandra Santa Cosgrove, Andreia Santa, and Paulo Henriques passed away peacefully on June 6, 2022, in Scottsdale, Arizona with family by her side. She had been a resident of Danbury, Connecticut for over 50 years. Maria was born in Lousa, Portugal on March 28, 1918.

Maria is survived by her loving daughter-in-law, Maria Henriques of Scottsdale, Arizona, loving grandchildren, Sandra Santa Cosgrove and husband John and their children, Sean, Ryan, and Maria, Andreia Santa of Saratoga Springs, NY, Paulo Henriques and his wife Jessica and their son Lorenzo.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Serafim Carvalho, children Felicia Santa and husband Herculano Santa, and sons Joaquim Henriques, Jose Henriques, and Domingos Henriques.

Calling hours for Maria will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, CT. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 149 Deer Hill Ave, Danbury, CT. Burial will follow at Saint Peter Cemetery, 74 Lake Ave Ext. Danbury, CT.
