Maria Augusta Vieira

Mrs. Vieira was born in Vila Franca da Serra, Gouveia, Portugal on March 7, 1925 to the late Antonio and Emilia Lourenco. She moved to the United States in 1966 and worked at Davis & Geck for close to thirty years until her retirement.

Mrs. Vieira is survived by her daughter, Manuela Lourenco Sousa da Silva and her husband, Jose Pedro da Silva of Danbury. Her brother, Antonio Lourenco, of Danbury. Two granddaughters and 5 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Mrs. Vieira was predeceased by her husband, Maximinio Vieira; her son, Mario Lourenco Sousa; and her siblings: Capitolina Serra, Albert, Joaquim, Jose and Carlos Lourenco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Friday, Jan. 6, 2016 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 149 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury with the Rev. Jose Brito-Martins, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury at the convenience of the family.
