

Marvin was born on July 11, 1934, in New York City to Charles and Elizabeth Nash, and was the youngest of four sons. Marvin graduated from Roosevelt High School in the Bronx, New York in 1952. He immediately enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 18. Marvin was stationed abroad for 4 years before returning home and marrying his high school sweetheart, Theresa Gilmore. They had two sons, James and Gregory.
Marvin was a generous and witty individual who loved his family and was passionate about his town. He was an active and dedicated member of the church as well as the New Fairfield Lion’s Club. Marvin had many career paths but spent most of his time as a USDA Meat inspector until he retired.
Marvin is predeceased by his first son, James Charles Nash. Along with his loving wife of 67 years, Theresa (Gilmore) Nash, he is survived by his son Gregory Sr, grandchildren Gregory Jr., Brianna, and Taylor, and his Great-grandson Sebastian.
A church service is scheduled for Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Edward the Confessor, followed by a burial at Mountainview Cemetery. Father Wolfe will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marvin’s life.
