She was born on May 17, 1932 in Queens, NY, a daughter of Mr. Eric and Mrs. Mary Koch. Mary proudly called New Fairfield, CT her home for the past 56 years, and was a long standing member of St. Edward’s Church.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Dransfield, and his wife, Marylisa; daughter Janet Bahr, and her husband, John; and daughter, Linda Dransfield. Mary treasured her three children, along with her eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
During her life Mary worked in retail and also was a volunteer driver for the homebound, but her main passion was to be a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a tremendous cook and loved to gather with family and her many friends. Mary and her husband, Chuck, traveled the world and spent most of their retirement at their second home in Florida.
For the last six months of Mary’s life, she was fortunate and extremely grateful to be under the loving care of Hospice. Mary’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to her caregivers, Nora, Denisse, and Aurora, who loved and supported her during the last year of her life. She will be sorely missed by all.
