Mary A. Nehrwein

She was married to James “Jack” Nehrwein, on July 6, 1954, until his passing in 1992.

She was employed at New York Bake Shop, Davis and Geck Company and Finest Supermarket. She was also the loving babysitter to three of her great nieces, Laura, Lisa and Stephie, whom adored her.

Mary is survived by her sister and primary caregiver Jeanne Mulvihill of Danbury, with whom she resided. She is also survived by her sister Rita Baumann of Ridgefield, and brother-in-law Philipp Baumann Sr.

Survived by her loving nieces and nephews: Marita Ferguson (Steve) of Bethel, Nancy Mulvihill (Linda) of Leominster, MA, Daniel J. Mulvihill Jr. of Redding, Philipp Baumann Jr. (Kim), of North Stonington, and David Baumann of Southington.

She is also survived by her cherished great nieces and great nephews: Laura, Lisa and Stephie Ferguson, Katelyn Baumann, Philipp III and Austin Baumann.

Mary was predeceased by her brothers Henry and Johnny State and brother-in-law Juddy Mulvihill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Church, 115 Main St., Danbury on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10:30am. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
