Maureen was born to Thomas and Irene Hamilton in Bridgeport, CT. Maureen was a loving wife to her husband Jon, they remained together for over 60 years until his passing in 2023. Maureen was the matriarch of the family and raised six children.
Maureen was also a top producing realtor with over 3 decades of success in the Connecticut area, earning many awards and designations including Chairman's Circle and President's Circle among others.
She was also very active in Brookfield, serving on several town boards and commissions, volunteering for more than 20 years at Danbury Hospital and was an avid tennis player.
Maureen is survived by her children: Daniel, David, Laura and Jennifer Van Hise. She was also blessed with 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Jon, Maureen will be reunited in her passing with her children, Holly and Christian Van Hise, as well as her siblings, Thomas Hamilton, Mary Hamilton and Jean Rotzal.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday, October 9, 2026, at St. Joseph Church, 376 Main St., Danbury, CT with the Rev. Eric Silva, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow at Central Cemetery, 490 Federal Rd., Brookfield CT.
