Dear Family and Friends - I was so very saddened to hear of Mike's passing. Our families grew up together in the same neighborhood. Mike and my brother Howard were very good friends throughout their childhood, playing and hanging out together at each others homes and in the neighborhood. My memories of Mike are of a fun and carefree young boy who was always kind, caring and thoughful. My sincere thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. May all of the wonderful memories you have of him help to bring you comfort to your hearts during this difficult and sad time. With sympathy, Wendy Lucas Michalek

Mike was always so easy to talk to, always eager to lend a hand and had an infectious smile, his love for his family was beyond measurable, Mike and I fought this fight together for the first 6 rounds as I can hear him most times one hospital room away from mine, he always made the nurses laugh, and his amazing strength for fighting this ugly battle we faced, he fought hard and long to be there for Lena, Troy and Vi, and now its time for him to rest. I will always remember our chats and words of encouragement for each other, I will truly miss you my dear friend until we meet again on the other side.
Rest in Peace,
Always your friend
Tonya Smith ❤🙏
