She was born to Grace (Doyle) and Jack Welsh on November 26,1955 in Yonkers, NY.
Nancy was raised and educated in the Bronx, NY. She always looked so forward to spending the summer “in the country” at the summer home her Dad built in New Fairfield. Her days would be spent at the beach, picking berries that her Mom would make into pies, playing badminton, camping out overnight on the lawn, playing board games, and picking wildflowers.
Once Nancy graduated from Evander Childs High School her family made a permanent move to the summer house in New Fairfield, where she would choose to live for the remainder of her life.
She received her B.A. in Finance from Western Connecticut State University. She went on to hold Accounting positions at Main-Hurdman, KPMG, Mercedes-Benz, Arch Chemicals and Lonza.
Nancy will be remembered for her keen intellect, sharp wit, and caring spirit. By far, her favorite pastime, was spending time with her five beloved nephews. Her care, concern, and love for them was a joy to see and she made no apologies(ever) for spoiling them along the way. They all looked forward to her culinary delights and were always eager to “taste test”. Sunday dinners included a great meal, fellowship and crafts (however, messy) and some shenanigans. This family tradition would later be shared with their children as well.
Nancy is survived by her brother Richard (Diane) of New Fairfield, her brother-in-law Joe of New Fairfield, as well as her dear nephews Richard (Mel) of New Fairfield, P.B. of Los Angeles, CA., Chip (Laura) of Stamford, CT., Chad of New Fairfield, and John (Giselle) of Stamford, CT. as well as her grand- nephew Connor and three grand- nieces Kailyn, Maya, and Quinn.
She was pre-deceased by her Mom, Dad and dear sister Dorothy.
