Nick was born in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Frank Caldarola and Phyllis Schmenti. He attended Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, and received his BA from The City University of New York.
Nick served the United States Air Force, based in Texas.
In addition to his spouse Antonio, survivors include his sisters: Carmela, Claudia, and Marie. His nieces and nephews: Claudine, and Lauren Cozzi, Nick, Phyllis, Nicholas Anthony, John and Victoria Scalici.
Nick was a great husband, a kind and loyal friend and always made the best of any situation. Nick’s personality always lifted your spirits and he would light up a room. He had a great sense of humor, quick witted and a wonderful storyteller. Nick could always be counted on, especially in time of need. Nick was close to family and had many long standing friendships. He will be dearly missed by all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023 at Holy Child Roman Catholic Church, 4747 Amboy Rd., Staten Island, NY 10312.
A Celebration of Life in Danbury, CT will be conducted on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023. Contact the family for further information.
