Noel G. Cloutier, 94, of Danbury, CT passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Danbury Hospital, with his wife and family by his side.
A longtime resident of Danbury, CT, Noel was a business teacher at Danbury High School for over 35 years.
Born and raised in Lewiston, Maine, Noel served as a corporal in the U.S. Army in the early 1950s, with an assignment in northern Japan. That is when he met and fell in love with Japanese native Yuri Kashiwazaki. They were married in Japan and then went to the United States for a Catholic wedding ceremony.
Noel was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Yuri; his sons Thomas Cloutier of Bronx, NY, John Cloutier and his wife Shelley of Danbury, CT and Robert Cloutier and his wife Karen of Port St. Lucie, FL; and his grandchildren Alysha Cloutier and her husband Eric O'Malley of Prospect, CT, Matthew Cloutier of Danbury, CT and Ariane Cloutier of Middletown, CT.
The family will receive friends at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Thursday, October 2, from 4 pm to 7 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd., New Fairfield, CT on Friday, October 3, at 11:30 am, followed by a burial service at St. Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave. Ext., Danbury.
