Paul Joseph Kusen

Paul Joseph Kusen, 71, passed away peacefully in his home with his loved ones by his side on August 1, 2026. He was born in East Meadow Long Island NY at Meadowbrook Hospital on Christmas Day 1954. He moved with his family to New Fairfield CT in 1963, later moving to Danbury CT. Paul is pre-deceased by his Father Peter Kusen, Mother Caroline Kusen, and his brother Michael Kusen. He is survived by his brothers and sisters Ken Kusen, Eileen Salvador, Karl Kusen, Mary Giandalone, Nancy Hughes and Mark Kusen. He had 10 nieces and nephews, 13 grand-nieces and nephews and one great grand-niece. A lifetime member of St Edwards Catholic Church beginning as an Alter Server and later teaching religious education. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and donated over 100 pints of blood to the Red Cross. An Eagle Scout Troop 42 , he enjoyed outdoor hiking and skiing, teaching his nieces and nephews as well as taking them to amusement parks. Calling hours are 5pm to 8pm at the Green Funeral home 57 Main Street Danbury CT.

There will be a 10:30 am mass at St Edwards Catholic Church with a burial to follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in New Fairfield CT. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions May be chosen by you in honor of Paul.
