Peter was born in New Haven, CT, a son of the late Vincent P. Adams, Jr. and Frances (Villa) Adams. He grew up in California and Connecticut.
Peter was an accomplished golf professional who worked at many golf courses and country clubs over the years, including Ridgefield Golf Course and the Country Club of Darien. He had a passion for helping golfers perfect their swing and teaching youth clinics. Quite frankly, if it had anything to do with golf or running a country club, Peter loved it and was good at it.
Peter was one of a kind. He was stubborn and adventurous, and he loved his kids with absolutely everything he had. He was a gifted storyteller, especially to his grandchildren. He had a love of anything outdoors, nature, and animals. You could usually find him exploring beaches, kayaking through the mangroves in Stuart Florida, or relaxing outdoors surrounded by nature.
Peter is survived by his girlfriend, Nancy Baquet. His daughter, Marie P. Kiernan, and her husband, Jed Kiernan. His son, Vincent P. Adams, IV. His grandchildren: Grace Kiernan and Kaitlyn Kiernan. And his sister, Valerie Adams-Boyle.
Due to the current circumstances of the Covid pandemic, a celebration of Peter’s life will take place at a later date and time to be announced.
Please omit flowers, contributions in Peter's memory may be made to his grandchildren's college fund, c/o Kiernan Trust, PO Box 405, Anson, ME 04911
