Peter was born in Danbury, CT, a son of the late Peter and Margaret (Stott) Hornik. He attended Danbury High School and transferred to Henry Abbott Tech where he graduated in 1962.
Peter owned and operated Peter Hornik Plumbing and Heating Services for many years, a prominent local business with many loyal customers. He was affectionally known as “Miserable”.
He is survived by his three children: daughter, Patricia Morelli (Kevin); son, Peter Hornik IV (JoAnn); and daughter, Jennifer Vigue (Daniel); his grandchildren, Alexander, Peter V, Margaret (Steven), Nathaniel, Jacob, Daniel and three great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephew.
Friends will be received on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.
A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Grace Family Church, 13 Covered Bridge Rd., Newtown, CT. Burial to follow at St. Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave. Ext., Danbury, CT.
