Phyllis was born in Lousan, Portugal. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Miguel. She was one of eight children.
Phyllis worked at National Semiconductor until her retirement. She had several part-time jobs after retirement, just to keep herself busy. She loved being around people.
Phyllis's pastimes included cooking, sewing, reading, puzzles, coloring and taking care of her plants.
Phyllis’s greatest love was family. Spending time with them gave her the most joy.
Phyllis was kind and loving, always there to lend a helping hand at any time. She was a stranger to no one. All who knew her, loved her.
Phyllis was predeceased by her twin sister, Rosa as well as her infant daughter, Audrey Barrett, on August 15, 1952.
Survivors include her children: Joan Tryonas, Edward Barrett and his wife, Kelli; Phyllis Barrett, Lawrence J. MacKinnon, Jr.; and Laurie Mackinnon. Her grandchildren: Edward “Skip” McElroy; Patti Skok; Micheline Gray; and Tara MacKinnon. Her sister: Julie Corona.
Phyllis also leaves behind her beloved extended family; great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
