Phyllis Etta Noonan age 72, passed away at home in Port Orange Monday, July 28 2014. Phyllis was born March 31, 1942 in Danbury, CT., and is the third eldest daughter of nine children of the late Wallace and Mary Wheeler. She loved being surrounded by family and enjoyed giving. Phyllis and her loving husband John were married 57 years.
John and Phyllis had the pleasure of working together for twenty years as the owners of a Toroidal Coil manufacturing company, which afforded them a blessed retirement together. Phyllis loved playing cards, computer games and traveling in her earlier years. Her days were always brightened when she was able to speak to her grandchildren.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her father Wallace Alton Wheeler, mother Mary Kathryn Wheeler, her three sons Joseph, Thomas and Jay Noonan and sisters Maureen Grippin and Kathy Ayers.
Survivors include her husband John, their son Michael (Samantha) Noonan of South Daytona, FL,; Daughters Peggy (Pete) Williams of Bunnell, FL, Katherine (Joseph) Snyder of Osteen, FL, Becky (Dean) Rodgers of Thornton, NH; brothers Wallace and William Wheeler; sisters Nancy Hosford, Ruth Wrobel, Susan Collins, Donna Schmidt.
Her many Grandchildren Thomas, Krysta, Robert, Katie, Joey, Teague, Brandon, David, Kayla, Austin, Colten and Maureen were also left to cherish her memory. Great-grandchildren include Kali, Kameron, Jay, David and Zoey.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, 305 Dunlawton Avenue, Port Orange, FL at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Phyllis will be laid to rest at St. Rose cemetery in Newtown, CT.
