She went to school at Danbury High. She worked as a manager for Levine Automotive for over 20 years. Since the pandemic began, in her free time after working long work days, she could be found at her sewing machine making face masks for anyone in need; especially for the elderly in nursing homes, and staff and children in school settings. Becky was very passionate about giving to those in need. One of the charities that was near and dear to Becky was the Bags and Bears Holiday Drive hosted by 98Q. She raised donations of toys through her job and community, working hard every year to surpass the goal of the previous year.
Becky was always willing to open her home to many, always offering an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on or just a cup of French vanilla coffee. This time of year, Becky could always be found in her kitchen making the most delicious fudge and chocolate treats and other baked goods she would share with many. Not only did Becky offer her home to people in need, but she would often open her doors to animals in need, her favorites of course being cats. She leaves behind her beloved cats, Ralphie, Kookie, and Mr. Edward Scissor Hands.
Becky is survived by her mother Ruth Bunting and her step-father Bill Bunting, beloved children Christina Bouwmeester, Billy Bouwmeester and his wife Stefania Bouwmeester, and Dakota Bouwmeester, her sister Bernadine Bouwmeester and her husband Wesley Sermons of Arkansas, her sister Brenda Cyr and her husband Ward Cyr of Vermont, her dear grandson Will Bouwmeester Jr, many nieces and nephews and her boyfriend Bill Thumser. She is preceded in death by Hattie Vallee, Marion Marsh, Barbara Vallee and Edward Cleary.
