Ronald A. King

It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Husband, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather, Ronald Anthony King Sr., a strong, determined, loving, and one-of-a-kind man. Ronald passed away peacefully in Cumming, Georgia, on August 16, 2026, at the age of 83.

Ronald was born on December 23, 1942, in Danbury, Connecticut, to the late Sadie King Bilka and Leo Albert King.

He leaves behind those who loved him dearly, including his two children, Ronald King Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL.; Craig King and his wife Elizabeth, and granddaughters, Emma C. King and Mia Sadie King, of Milton, Georgia; his brother John Bilka and his husband John Kristovich of New York City; his sister-in-law Emily Centeno King, his niece Kimberly King Gaita and his beloved first cousin Karen Barrett Warner and family, of Danbury, CT. and his many other loving first cousins.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joann Irene Della Monica King; his second wife, Verna M. King; and his brother, Leon ‘Corky’ Michael King.

Throughout his 83 years, Ronald touched many lives with his steadfast humor, honesty, strength, and unwavering dedication. He was a highly skilled foreman and electrician, known for his strong work ethic and commitment to doing things the right way. He was a proud member of IBEW Local 488, where he spent many years as a respected electrician.

Ronald was strong-minded and independent, with a personality that was impossible to forget. He had a great love for cars and cherished the music of the 1960s and 1970s. He was also a member of the Glee Club at Henry Abbott Tech, reflecting another side of the man who could bring humor and warmth wherever he went.

To those who knew him, Ronald was humorous, honest, fair, and hardworking. He was a devoted husband, a loving father and brother, and, above all, a fantastic grandfather who brought a special kind of joy to his granddaughters.

Ronald lived his life with strength, determination, humor, and a deep devotion to the people he loved. His presence, his stories, his laughter, and his unforgettable personality will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.

His memory will live on in our hearts. We will miss you!

Ronald's family will receive guests on Saturday, November 21st from 10 - 11:30 am at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, CT. Burial of his ashes will follow immediately at St. Peter Cemetery.
