Rose Kathleen Shail

Rose was born in Danbury, CT a daughter of the late Gaetano and Michelina Troccola Gioia. She attended Danbury Schools and was a graduate of Danbury High School. Rose also attended the Wright Technical School in Stamford for her hairdresser’s certification. She was a hairdresser for many years.

Rose was a member of St. Marguerite Church in Brookfield. Rose was an avid traveler and also had a love of music; but, she most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Rose was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Marie Shail in 2012 and her siblings: Lucy Manion, Louis Gioia and Rocco Gioia.

Survivors include her son: Mark Shail and his wife, Muoi, of West Haven, CT. Her daughter: Allyson Tozzoli and her husband, Dean, of Danbury. Her grandchildren: Brandon, Michael, Daniel and Christopher. Her great granddaughter: Alexandra. Her sister: Donna Scalzo. She is also survived by Craig Simone, who was like a son-in-law to her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:30am at St. Marguerite Church, Brookfield. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
