

Ruth E. Norton Cote of Easton, ME, formally of Danbury, CT, died peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 69 on June 15, 2025 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Roger W. Cote. She was born on November 13, 1955 to Ruth and Jeremiah Norton.
Ruth was a faith filled woman, a devout member of St. James Episcopal Church in Danbury, CT and St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Fort Fairfield, ME. She was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, stepmother, nana and friend. She was generous with her time and loved to help other people.
She graduated from Bethel High School in 1973 and went on to become a Manager for reservations at the Hilton Hotel for many years and married the love of her life Roger.
She was a member at Miry Brook Fire House and volunteer for Dorothy Day. She loved bowling, traveling, quilting, reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She also loved auxiliary bingo where she met her best friend Carol. She loved being and aunt and nana with all her heart.
Ruth is survived by her sister Bonny Rodger of Waterbury, CT, her niece Amanda Laranjeira and husband Joao, stepsons Larry and Joe Cote, stepdaughter Jillian Cote, grandson Jamie MacKay Cote and grandkids Charlie Cote, Larry Cote Jr., Dylan Cote, Anthony Cote, Johnathon Cote, and Theodore Cote.
Funeral services will take place at 12:00 noon on Monday July 7, 2025 at The Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT, to be officiated by the Rev. Gina Gore, rector of Saint James Episcopal Church, Danbury. For those that are far away or cannot attend we will have a link where you can join the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 12:00 noon.
