Salvatore R. Vasaturo

Salvatore was born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Michael and Anna (Allegrente) Vasaturo. He attended schools in Brooklyn, NY and served in the Army during WWII. He worked for many years as a Watchman for the New York City Marine & Aviation Division. He was member of Sacred Heart Church, Patterson, NY and a former member of the Bethel VFW Post.

He is survived by four children: Michael T. Vasaturo of Lake Carmel, NY, Anna Pristera and husband Gary of Central Islip, NY, Louise Winters of Pine Bush, NY and Jospehine Yeager and husband Ron of Holmes, NY, his grandchildren: Joseph Vasaturo, Annmarie and Gina Pristera, Ronald and Michelle Yeager and Monika Boshkovska, his great grandchildren: Kalina and Joseph Vasaturo and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents he is predeceased by his grandson Garrett Pristera, his brothers Joseph and Michael and sisters: Lucy, Dorothy and Clara and son-in-law George Winters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Patterson, NY on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Anastasia Cemetery, Harriman, NY. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
