He was born on June 14, 1933 in Cambodia. Throughout his life, Vichean was known for the love he had for his family, spending time with his plants, traveling with his kids and never forgetting to leave the house without his fedora and sunglasses.
Vichean enjoyed golf, the casino, all you can eat buffets, gardening, fishing but above all, he cherished the time spent with his family. His grandchildren and great grandchildren held a particularly special place in his heart, and he loved watching them grow, sharing stories, making memories, and being there for the important moments in their lives.
He is survived by his wife Sophy of 66 years; his children, Phean, Phorn, Tho, Keing, Leang, Loury and Boursy; his 18 grandchildren, their significant others and 13 great-grandchildren.
Vichean will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His love, wisdom, laughter, and memories will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Calling hours will be on Friday, September 25 from 11 AM - 3 PM starting with a Buddhist religious service from 11 - 12 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury.
A Christian service will be held at the New Apostolic Church, 2 Main Street, New Milford on Sunday, September 27 at 2 PM.
