Vincent M. Keilty, age 77 of Danbury, died on October 4th at Western Rehabilitation Care Center, Danbury. He was the husband of Nancy (Kennedy) Keilty. Vin was born December 4, 1940 in Danbury, the son of the late Vincent J and Ann (Drapeau) Keilty. He was a graduate of Bethel High School and had been a lifelong Danbury area resident. Vin was employed as a service station manager with Leahy fuel for over 20 years, and earlier in his life operated an office cleaning business. He was a parishioner of Saint Joseph Church, Danbury, and enjoyed listening to music by Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley, and spending time at home with his family.
In addition to his wife Nancy of 27 years, Vin is survived by his five children: Patrick K. Keilty, Andrew J. Keilty, Tony Keilty and his wife Betty, Tim Keilty, and Cynthia Peterson and her husband Frank, his five grandchildren: Ryan Peterson and Justin Peterson, Cassandra Keilty and Sara Keilty, and Julia Dobosz, three sisters: Ann Eden and her husband Lou, Jane Keilty and her husband Frank Case, and Ruth Doran and her husband William, along with nieces and nephews. Vin was predeceased by his son Michael Keilty and his brother Robert Keilty.
The Keilty family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Western Rehabilitation Care Center for all of their assistance in caring for Vin during his residency at their facility.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Tuesday October 9th in Saint Joseph Church, Danbury. Interment in Saint Peter Cemetery, Danbury will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive friends at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street Danbury on Tuesday morning from 9:00am until 10:00am.
