Vincent M. Kempter

Born in Mt. Kisco, NY, Vinnie was the son of the late Fred and Venera Kempter. He attended Fox Lane High School in Mt. Kisco.

Vinnie dedicated over 30 years of his career to Wallauer’s. A devoted New York Mets fan, he loved cheering on his grandchildren at their baseball games, creating timeless woodworking pieces for his family, and bringing joy to others with his sense of humor. He treasured trips to Lake George, cruises, evening walks with the love of his life, and never missed the chance to sing “Happy Birthday” in perfect key.

He was predeceased by his brother, Fred Kempter Jr.

In addition to his loving wife, Janet, Vinnie is survived by his children: Jennifer and Michael Strout; Michelle and Brad Meeks; and Brian and Lindsay Kempter. He was the proud grandfather of Noah, Tyler, Brandon, and Aiden Meeks; and Alex and Everett Strout. He also leaves behind many cherished brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00pm - 2:30pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT.

Words of Remembrance will be held starting at 2:30pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the funeral home.
