William O. Bey

He was 78 years of age.

Bill is survived by Joan Kilian, his cherished partner of 44 years, two children; Robert Bey, and Lynn Knox and her husband James of North Carolina and two step children; Cyndie Cooper and Robert Kilian and his wife Kristen of New Milford. Bill had ten grandchildren; Erin Cooper, Jenna Petty and her husband John, Robby Kilian, Matthew Cooper, Taryssa Kilian (all from the Fairfield/Litchfield areas), Ashley Knox, James Knox, Emily Bey, Jessica Bey and Olivia Bey (all from North Carolina). He also had one great grandson, Camden Petty. Bill served in the U.S. Coast Guard, was a member of the Danbury Elks Club and was very involved in playing and officiating local area sports for many years.

The family would like to express their eternal thanks to all their friends, caregivers and to Danbury Hospice for their dedication, support and love. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018, from 1:00pm to 3:30pm at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, with a service to directly follow at 3:30pm.
