Anyone that knew our Mom, Knows that she was a no nonsense women, and that is what she passed down to her loving children. Her goal was to bring up ladies out of girls and gentlemen out of her boys…Wow what a success story!!!

As we her children now sit back and reflect on our Mom’s life and how things have changed for her and us. We cannot help but see how she had extended herself, based on that love, that consumed her and others.

Things weren’t always perfect for her and us,..still the memory we will hold on to dearly,…Is how Mom loved her children and grandchildren and all those she came in contact with. She loved music, dancing, and fashion…

So when you see,..this women behind the smile,..May you remember, our mom and how she learned to love…

In her early years mom worked as a seamstress. Mom was a fashionista who enjoyed shopping. Her love for clothes was something to admire. We took many a shopping trips with her and got to go out to eat afterwards.

She was a collector of many things…..and could find a purpose for anything and everything.

Growing up our home was a welcomed place for the neighborhood children to come and play.

She enjoyed dancing with her sisters and friends while listening to a variety of music. I have fond memories of her teaching us to dance, even if I had two left feet. She dedicated her life to work and did so until her battle with the Covid-19.

Mom loved giving back to the community and was an active PCA Local 1199 Union member who believed in rights of the workers to be treated fairly and to earn a living wage that reflected the job.

Mom enjoyed walking and collecting elephants, owls and plants. Mom is missed and will always be my cardinal flying to my rescue.

Growing up as neighbors to you and your mom was pretty special. As I became older I began to appreciate your mom a lot more for her kind thoughts and good deeds. My fondest memories are spending weekends with the church at Camp Winnekeag. Your mother and I would stay up late and laugh and have so much fun hanging out. She will be sorely missed. God bless your family in this sad time. Just remember she is asleep for a short while and we will see her again in heaven someday soon.

My deepest condolences to the family. We are sending our prayers. Laverne, your mom was very close to my grandmother, Mary Silva and I am so fortunate that I got to spend time with your mom at different events we had. I saw her last October at my grandfather's funeral and my husband and I sat with her and spent time w her there. I will always remember her smile and her beautiful face and her humor. She was so funny. She helped us so much at my grandmother's Birthday party and my grandfather's funeral.
Your mom will be truly missed.
Very sad during this time we cannot gather around you and support in person but please know we are giving you all a hug and sending our love and prayers. God bless. Love Rene Jr and Melissa Nascimento

Wonderful, wonderful Lady and her welcoming smile will definitely be missed when I go to the NB Seventh-Day Adventist Church. It never mattered how long between my visit each time she saw me always gave me encouraging words. Always let me know that she has my family in her prayers. Definitely will be missed. Prayers will go up for her family, may the Holy Spirit console their hearts.

Your mom was beautiful inside out. I was truly bless to be part of the neighborhood . Growing up your mom always welcome me in her home. She would always ask how my parents were and greeted with a smile. As we grew older and move on with our lives no matter where I saw her she she would stop and talk. Always inquiring how I was doing and how were my parents. She touched everyone she came in contact with a beautiful smile gracious demeanor. I will miss her but am truly blessed to have known her. God bless you all.
