Born in Acushnet, son of the late Casper A.N. Spanne and Irene (Souza) Spanne, he had resided in Dartmouth for the past 30 years.
He had received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Roger Williams University.
Mr. Spanne was a retired social worker who worked at the Department of Transitional Assistance for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Prior to his social worker career, he taught in the Acushnet elementary school system.
Erick was an avid gardener and was a man who loved his toys. He enjoyed life and laughter and will always be remembered as a kind, genuine and caring person who was always willing to help anyone.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Stephen C. Sylvia and his wife Cheryl of Acushnet. He was predeceased by two brothers, Gregory and Mark Spanne.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 11:00am- 12:30pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mill Rd., Dartmouth. Entombment will follow in the Acushnet Cemetery, 91 Main St., Acushnet.
