Born in Fall River, he was a self-employed farmer. He was in his earlier years a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Dartmouth and US Army Veteran.
Loving father of Robert, Fred, Angela, Grace, Joseph, Victor, James and Adam Robinson, Carol Medeiros, Cecil Smith III, all of Dartmouth, Marion Elizabeth Carpenter of Westport and Ambrose John Smith of Dartmouth. Also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Visiting Hours will be on Wednesday, April 12 from 6-8 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at the Dartmouth Funeral Home, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth.
