Charles Benedict Little, Jr.

Charles B. ”Charlie” “Bud” Little, Jr., 65 of New Bedford, passed away in his residence with his family at his bedside. Charlie was the loving husband of Paula A. (Gagne) Little with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Charles B. Little, Sr. and Edna (Boyle) Little, he was a lifelong resident of New Bedford. Charlie attended high school in New Bedford and served in the United States Army. Prior to retiring, he was a Custodian for the New Bedford Public School system for more than 20 years.

Charlie loved his wife and children dearly as well as his beautiful grandchildren and his sister. He enjoyed watching movies, military history, spending time with friends and classic Rock and Roll. He loved to travel with the love of his life, Paula. They enjoyed sightseeing and could often be found driving through many different areas of New England. An avid Patriots fan, he owned season tickets for over 30 years. He was also known to enjoy a good game of Golf. Bud loved the company of his dogs, especially his most recent companion, Lucas. He was most proud that he had celebrated his 37th year anniversary with AA.

Surviving in addition to his wife Paula are his children; Kevin, Amy and her companion Sean, all of New Bedford; a sister, Charlene Hochman and her husband Michael of New Bedford; two grandchildren; several cousins and many many good friends survive him.

His Service will be held Friday, May 7, 2021 at 6:00PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth, MA 02748. Visitation from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Burial will be PRIVATE. To my cousin Bud, may you rest in peace. Paula, Amy, Kevin, Charlene, Mike and Sean – I am so sorry that you lost a husband, father, brother, and friend. And I am sorry that I lost a cousin. I am glad that I got to visit him a couple of time in recent years, and was hoping to visit again, but that was not meant to be.
