Born in New Bedford, she was one of ten children to the late John T. and Beatrice (Souza) Brillo.
She was a graduate of New Bedford High School.
Mrs. Sebastiao was an administrative assistant at Hemingway Trucking. She and her husband owned a Mister Softee ice cream truck and also cooked and delivered pizza from a converted truck. They owned a canteen truck business called Coffee Break Time and a catering company called Sibbe’s, specializing in weddings and parties. She also worked at Kartens Jewelry and was the Rabbi’s secretary at Tifereth Israel Synagogue. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Guild, New Bedford Jaceettes and the Widowed Persons Club.
The family would like to thank all of her caregivers in the past 10 years especially the staff at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home.
Survivors include her children, Diane Hopkins and husband Warren of Newbury, VT, Thomas Sebastiao and wife Eileen of Mattapoisett and David Sebastiao and wife Susan of Dartmouth; five grandchildren, Veronica White, Kathryn Sebastiao, Christina Sebastiao, Meagan Sebastiao and Sean Sebastiao; one great-grandchild, Kai Johnson; and many nieces and nephews; She was predeceased by her siblings, Lucy Medeiros, Angelina Victorino, Theresa Roderick, Mary Medeiros, Beatrice Roderiques, Elsie Rodrigues, Manuel Brillo, John Brillo Jr. and Frances Pimentel.
Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 795 Dartmouth St., Dartmouth. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery.
