A daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Amaral) Freitas, she was born in Dartmouth and was a lifelong resident. She attended St. Mary’s Church and was a devoted homemaker, whose greatest joy was spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she leaves 3 sons, Wallace “Tweety” Sylvia and his wife Jenny, Kenneth Sylvia, and Gary Sylvia and his wife Carol; 2 daughters, Gale Correira and her late husband Bill and Sandra Farland ; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of Eddy, Richard and George, Claire, Norma and the late Isabel, Millie, Dot, Alice and Herbert.
Memorial visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 6-8 pm in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth with a service at 6:30 pm. Burial will be private. Visit www.waring-sullivan.com for tributes and directions
