Jose Medeiros

Born in Salga St. Michael Azores, a son of the late Mariano and Honorina (Pacheco) Medeiros he grew up there and came to the United States in 1971. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish.

Mr. Medeiros worked as a foreman. He enjoyed doing yard work, visiting the Azores and most of all spending quality time with his beloved family and friends. Jose was adored and loved by many, many friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Kevin J. Medeiros of New Bedford, Brian J. Medeiros of Dartmouth and Jose Medeiros, Jr. and his wife Erica of Dartmouth; four grandchildren, Jared, Austin, Arianna and Trendyn; a sister, Izelda Duarte of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Richard “Ricky” Medeiros.

His funeral will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 8 am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish, Rivet St., New Bedford. Burial will follow in S. Dartmouth Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 5-8 pm. For online tribute/directions www.waring-sullivan.com.
