I was very saddened to see that Lauren had passed. She was my best friend in the 4th grade at Gidley school. Unfortunately, my family moved & we lost touch. However, I never forgot her. I still have our class picture. Years later, she came into the post office where I worked & recognized me. I was so happy to see her. Lauren, I hope you are now dancing with the angels free from the ravages of such a terrible disease. I'll always remember you my little 10 year old friend. ♥️

My deepest sympathy to Mrs Downing and family. I don’t remember Lauren separately but I do remember the Downing family as a unit, a very beautiful unit. Whenever I have a memory of going to Fr. Kelly’s on Tucker Rd, I think of the Downings.
