Oh! I am so sorry to hear of Maria's death. We got to know each other because of Cedar Dell. Her joyful voice and kind encouragement often made MY day as well as my Mother-in-laws. Gone too soon, please accept my deepest sympathy and gratitude for her life

Oh Maria I have planed to come and visit you but I have never had a chance, I regret coming to New York in 2017 and didn’t make the time to visit you and my cousins, my heart bleeds that you are no longer with us, you have touched so many lives and you will be truly missed. May you rest in peace and I’m sure we will meet in the hereafter.

Your cousin that loves you to the moon and back.

Oh Maria,
My heart is so heavy with sadness. Working with you at Mapleridge and at the Cedars, I always "heard" you coming way before you arrived. This makes me smile as I say it. You brought so much love, caring and comfort to the many residents you cared for. Your heart was truly engaged in every resident and staff person you were around. You never had to worry about remembering names because you called everyone "Honey". ..lol. At times, you were so tired, body aching, and I would ask when you were going to retire and you would chuckle, "I don't know sweetheart". And I would reply that you never will. Well it seems you never did but you loved what you did and that's what mattered. Rest in Peace Maria. Spread those wings wide!

My sympathy to Maria's family. She also had another family at the Residence of Cedar Dell where she was loved by residents and co workers. She was an earth angel and heroine giving her care and going the extra mile. May you rest in peace from your co worker Carol.

To Maria’s family,
So very sorry for your loss. The picture of Maria says it all. She was such a warm, caring, loving , happy person. We worked together many years ago at Mapleridge and went for coffee during our lunch breaks. It was never a dull moment being with her. She loved her family very much and was an excellent caregiver. RIP Maria you will be missed..💔

No words can explain how sad I am for the family. Maria will be missed but I will always remember her comedic yet sometimes serious ways of delivering a joke. She had the most loud, fun personality. Our thoughts and prayers will be will you all during this awful time. Sincerely, the Fernandes and Sousa families
