Mary R. Hanson

Born in Cambridge, a daughter of the late Peter and Concettina (Amenta) Barbagallo, she had resided in Dartmouth for the past 36 years. She was a graduate of Somerville High School.

Mrs. Hanson had worked in education sales for the film industry and also at BCC in the financial aid department. She loved playing cards especially Black Jack, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Her family includes three daughters, Geraldine Daniels and husband William of Dartmouth, Dianne Schweigert and husband Paul of Swansea and Christine Braun and husband Robert of N. Aurora, IL; three brothers, Joseph Barbagallo of Canaan, NH, Ronald Barbagallo of Boston and Robert Barbagallo of Wakefield; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Concettina “Joan”, Gloria, Albert, Charles and Pasquale “Pat” Barbagallo.

Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 9am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME AT DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth with a Funeral Mass at 10am in St. Mary’s Church, 783 Dartmouth St., Dartmouth. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday 4-7pm. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
