Blessed unto this world on October, 8, 1932, and so perfectly succinct, she passed 83 years later on October 8, 2015. The largest Heart of anyone who's had the opportunity to breathe, she's always wanted others to feel their uniqueness above her own. This is the mark of what she tried to show others, as opposed to the rest of us.
Honoring my mom’s wit, soul, and intellect, she is honestly praying that this is something you all might want to take a good look at yourself for.
Her greatest loves; overall were her sons – Michael Joseph FitzGerald Jr., Sean G FitzGerald, and her Granddaughter, Acelyn Golden FitzGerald. She is survived by her sisters: Ann, Betty, brothers Carly and also the other one named Tony. Unfortunately, there are too many numerous nieces and nephews for any thorough and complete recollection at this time.
My Mom's love of animals, the Neediest Families Fund, The Jimmy Fund, The Humane Society, her involvement in the Prince Henry society, as well as The Friendly Sons of St Patrick were just a few of her interests, but her truest passion was food and conversation, for which she got the most and best content out of at her favorite joint; Angelo's Orchid Diner. If they saw Mrs. Fitz walk in, depending on the time, they knew it was going to be an experience. It was not beyond her to ask for the bacon to be well done-actually, "just please put it in the fryolater".
She would want people to know how proud she was of her sons, Sean and Michael, her granddaughter, Acelyn Golden FitzGerald, and we'd want everyone to know how proud we were to have her raise us on her own for her entire life, while providing the foundation for Ace's life. She was the most OutSTANDING Mom and Dad any child could ever have been asked to be blessed with or raised by.
Always the one to spark a conversation, she felt the art of communication was a fading one.
She'd want us to carry that on; always speak to each other, not talk at one another.
We take this time to recognize the passing of a soul this world no longer creates. As beautiful as this day is, the Heavens have become greater still. We'll see you on the other side, Mom...Love, Sean and Michael
Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 3-7 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be,
so He put his arms around you,
and whispered, "Come to me."
With tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you pass away.
Although we love you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes The best.
