Stephen Dennis Marote

Stephen D. Marote, 18, died Thursday, January 7, 2016 from injuries sustained in a car accident in Westport. He was the beloved son of Stephen L. and Mandy J. (Blake) Marote, and brother of Miranda C. Blake and Gage J. Marote all of Dartmouth. He was also the grandson of Leonard and Barbara Marote of Apopka, FL and Patricia Blake of Dartmouth, nephew of Heidi DiCorpo and Kyle Sylvia both of Dartmouth, Tanya Blake of Acushnet and Stephen Blake of Fall River, and uncle of Avery DeJesus of Dartmouth. He also leaves several cousins and many friends.

Stephen was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident of Westport. He graduated from Westport High School in 2015, and was attending Full Sales University in Winter Park, FL where he was majoring in Film Production with the aspiration of becoming a Director. Stephen loved to compose videos and tinker with computers and all types of electronic gadgets and devices. He enjoyed music and school, and played Lacrosse for Bishop Connolly during his high school years. In his youth, he enjoyed basketball and was a member of the Tiverton Schooners Pop Warner Football Team.

His Funeral will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, 569 Sanford Rd., Westport followed by burial in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth.
