

Horne, Albert F. – 106 of Eastern Passage passed away peacefully December 16, 2013 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Eastern Passage he was the son of the late Arthur and Bessie (Himmelman) Horne. He retired in 1973 from Halifax Port I.L.A. Stevedore after 48 years. He was a founding member of R A O B Eastern Lodge 8686, Eastern Passage, NS. He played baseball and hockey in his younger years and still followed the Mooseheads faithfully until his passing. He was an avid card player enjoying 45’s and crib with whom ever would play with him. He is survived by his daughters Betty Conrad, Eastern Passage; Marilyn (Frank) Oxner, Dartmouth; sister Marion Horne, Dartmouth; grandchildren Michael (Sharon) Oxner, Darren Oxner, Sherry Oxner and Jeffrey (Sherry) Conrad; great grandchildren Julian and Alexander Oxner. He was predeceased by his loving wife in 2002 Grace Mary (Naugle), brothers Glibert, Luois, Leonard and William; sister Emily Sellers and son in-law Wayne Conrad. Funeral Service will be 11am Thursday December 19, 2013 in St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Eastern Passage. Father John Ferguson officiating. Burial in St. Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the St. Peter’s Anglican Church Fund or Dartmouth General Hospital.
