

Celebrating the vibrant life of Angela Christine (Chrissy) Sparks, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Queen Elizabeth 2 Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by her cherished loved ones.
Known affectionately as Sparks, Angela brightened the lives of many as a cook at Ward Five Neighborhood Center in Halifax, NS, where her culinary creations brought joy to seniors and children alike.
Survived by her daughters Tammy Sparks (T.O), Shannon (Robert) Emmerson (HFX), and Lindsay Sparks (Allexie)(MTL). Angela was born on January 24, 1955 to the late Stanley and Florence Sparks and raised at 41 Sparks Rd Lake Loon, Dartmouth, NS. Her lively spirit and love knew no bounds, touching the hearts of all who knew her. Alongside her siblings, Stephen (Beth), Paul (Glenda), Ward (Tina), Valerie, Kathy (Terry), Frances, Wanda (Barry), and Tanya (Shawn), Angela formed a tight knit bond of family and friendship. Predeceased by sisters Ernastine and Annette, Angela leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unwavering support for her nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Angela's zest for life, coupled with her warm-hearted nature, endeared her to all who crossed her path. Her memory will be forever cherished by her grandchildren Olivia, Lacey, Dominique, and Kyleshia Sparks(T.O), Toree’ and Jazmine Emmerson (HFX), and Journee’ and Atlas Sparks (MTL), her many great grandchildren as well as the many lives she touched with her kindness and generosity.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated medical staff on 8.2, especially Alex, Emma, Christine, Paige, and the entire Physio team, for their compassionate care and support. Angela's radiant spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 18 from 2-4 and 6-8 at A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street where service will also take place on Tuesday, March 19 at 1 pm followed by a reception.
