

MATTINSON, Anika Jean Rose “Sweet Pea” – Age 5 of Dartmouth/Pugwash, she passed away at home on July 30, 2016. Anika was born in Amherst and is survived by her loving mother Felicia, her brother; Tyson, sister; Elizabeth, maternal grandparents; Ronnie (Maryann Ferdinand) Mattinson and Lorraine Murray, uncles; Brad (Rebecca) Mattinson, Jason Ferdinand, Adam Leanna) MacDonald, aunts; Lezlee (James) Blinn, Rhonda Mattinson, cousins; Nick, Brooklyn, Tyler, many family and friends. She was predeceased by her dear friend; Taz, maternal great grandparents; Norma and Gerald Murray. Anika was a social butterfly with a smile that would capture everyone and light up the room with a giggle that was contagious. She loved her daycare and even though she may have only been here a short time, she made lots of memories as well as taught those who met her about acceptance, tolerance and patience. Anika enjoyed fireworks, music, movies, going to the theaters, bright coloured lights, getting her nails painted, crafts, sleep overs with Kahlie and Kylie. She enjoyed being dropped off at daycare with Kaleb and being roughed up by Kaleb’s brother Josh. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 6 – 8 pm with a memorial service 2pm on Friday, August 5, both in A. L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street.
